TGS NIL Connect and Hope For Youth Houston announce Blue Chip Flag Football League for April 2027
New Houston youth flag football initiative aims to bring a college-style GameDay experience, athlete development and community engagement to young athletes.
HOUSTON — TGS NIL Connect, an initiative of Truly Grand Sports, is partnering with Hope For Youth Houston to launch the Blue Chip Flag Football League in April 2027.
But organizers say the vision extends far beyond simply creating another youth football league.
The goal is to build a college-inspired GameDay experience for Houston-area youth, combining competitive flag football with player introductions, music, game announcing, media coverage, photography, highlights, interviews, awards, vendors and community involvement.
"We want these kids to walk onto the field and feel like it's Saturday afternoon on a college campus."— TGS NIL Connect
Bringing the college GameDay experience to youth football
TGS NIL plans to make each GameDay an experience for the entire family. Players could be introduced before games, compete in an energetic atmosphere and have opportunities to receive media exposure, highlights and weekly recognition.
The league also plans to incorporate athlete development, mentorship, NIL and personal-brand education, leadership and community resources.
A GameDay Vendor Village is planned as another major component, creating opportunities for Houston-area food vendors, small businesses, nonprofits, sports organizations and brands to interact directly with participating families.
Divisions for boys and girls
The inaugural league is planned to include boys ages 9–11, ages 12–14 and a 15 Division. Girls divisions are planned for ages 9–11, middle school and high school. A Legends Division will be open to boys and girls.
The league is scheduled to begin in April 2027 in Houston, Texas, with the official location to be announced.
Houston, this is bigger than football
TGS NIL Connect and Hope For Youth Houston are inviting the Houston community to help build the league from the ground up.
Coaches, schools, youth programs, sports organizations, businesses, corporate sponsors, vendors, food trucks, photographers, videographers, trainers, nonprofits, volunteers and community leaders are encouraged to get involved.
The mission is simple: create an environment where young athletes can compete while experiencing the excitement, recognition and sense of belonging normally associated with football at the next level.
This isn't just about giving kids another place to play. It's about giving them an experience they'll remember.
How to get involved
Organizations interested in coaching, entering teams, sponsoring, becoming a vendor, volunteering or establishing a community partnership are encouraged to connect with TGS NIL Connect.
